PR on a Shoe-String Budget

Every small business and non-profit struggles with the idea, you have to spend money to make money. Ministries like TV51 have a tough time justifying any non-vital expense. But no matter how hard you work at your job and no matter what brilliant or life-changing product or service you offer to the community, if people don’t know who you are, it’s not going to make a difference. Companies need publicity; good publicity. What can a business with a shoe-string budget do to get good publicity? That’s what we discuss on this episode of AAR. Special guest is Rebecca Kopf, President of PR Etc, a locally-based, full-service public relations firm that works with both for-profit and non-profit businesses and has offices in both Rockford and Madison. Rebecca also writes a bi-weekly business column in the RRStar about marketing strategies.
