According to the Illinois Department of Public Health, one in four smokers will die prematurely from heart disease, stroke, cancer, and emphysema due to smoking. Many more will die of second hand smoke. Knowing these statistics, why do people still smoke and how can they break the addiction? We answer these questions on this episode of All Around Rockford. Special guests include Kathy Sullivan, Senior Director at the local American Lung Association of Illinois & Larry Didier, Tobacco Prevention/Cessation Coordinator for the Winnebago County Health Department.
