Unemployment

Those of us working happily at our jobs take little time to be grateful for our employment. We don’t tend to think about those people who have lost their jobs or are not working.

Some of us have been displaced temporarily, but usually end up finding work to be able to at least pay the bills. What about those who have been out of a job for years? How can people like this survive? Unfortunately, some resort to crime. However, when they realize that a life of crime isn’t what they wanted, it is then much harder for them to find employment. On this episode of AAR, we talk about people who have been out of work for a long time or perhaps have never even held a job. We also get great advice on how to get a job and keep it.

Special guests include Steve and Jeannette Haight, Executive Director and Assistant Director of Promiseland Employment Services, a non-profit organization that provides job search training and resources.
