Children with Disabilities

Having a physical or mental disability seems like it would be a hard thing to accept in life. However, even harder to accept would be when your child was born with a disability. You would do anything to take it away and make things better, but you can’t as you have no control over the situation. How does a parent help his or her child accept the circumstances and go on living a full life? These are questions we cover in this episode of AAR.

Special guests include Tony and Tiffany Feehan whose child, Connor, was diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries, seizure disorder and moderate mental retardation, as well as Jackie Neil Boss, Executive Director of the ARC of Winnebago, Boone and Ogle Counties and John Pingo, Children’s Services Administrator at the Goldie B. Floberg Center.
