Gambling

Wouldn’t it be grand if we all could win a Million Dollar Lottery? Maybe even win the Power Ball Jackpot? Imagine that!

Do you know how unlikely that is? Your chances of winning are roughly 1 in 120 million. Playing the lottery is not worth your time. When you play, you’re hoping to win something virtually unattainable based on pure luck. And when you gamble at a casino or racetrack, it’s the same luck you are pursuing. While gambling might provide you with some temporary form of entertainment and you may “luck out” a few times, overall, you’re going to end up losing. Losing your money, control, and perhaps eventually your family and other relationships because once you start gambling, it’s hard to stop, sometimes impossible. That’s lucky for the casinos, of course. This episode of AAR deals with the addiction of gambling.

Special guests include Tom Grey, Executive Director of the National Coalition against Legalized Gambling, who resides in Rockford, IL and Jan Klaas, President of Concerned Citizens of America.
