Rebuilding Iraq
As Military troops
have been fighting in Iraq, many of us have often thought of the shaken Iraqi
families who have been left without their
homes, electricity,
running water, food, healthcare and other basic necessities. How are they to
restore their land and community and see hope for their future? It’s
a thought that we can barely begin to understand, and hopefully something that
we will never have to experience for ourselves. The good news is there are
Civil Affairs Groups that have been set up to help the Iraqi people get back
their community, develop more stable and secure living conditions, and give
hope of a bright future.
In this episode
of AAR, we meet 2 courageous marines from one of these Civil Affairs groups
who were dedicated to making a difference during
their time
there--Sergeant Major Elaine Stem & Master Sergeant Nelson Rhone United
States Marine Corps Reserve who were attached to the 4th Civil Affairs Group
when the unit was activated for “Operation Iraqi Freedom.”
