Preventative Health Measures

While no one has yet found the cure to the common cold, arthritis, heart disease, diabetes, cancer and other life-threatening diseases, some wonderful drugs & therapies have been created to alleviate pain, stabilize these illnesses and even gone so far as to reverse heart disease and put cancer into remission. What’s better than this?
How about preventing the pain and agony and stopping these illnesses from happening in the first place?

In this episode of All around Rockford, we talk about preventative health measures. Of course, we all know that genes can play a major factor and some diseases are congenital, however, most of us don’t realize the importance of our eating habits and the affect they have on our bodies. The guest speaker is Dr. Ronald Burmeister, an infertility specialist, who is also a clinical assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford, as well as a member of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, also known at PCRM.
