Prostitution

How do you value your body? Do you look at it as a prize possession and gift from God with which to serve Him, or do you separate your body from your spiritual life either because you are ashamed of it and choose to devalue it or because you feel it’s your body and you will use it in any way you desire?

We all know what the answer should be, but sometimes it’s hard to love ourselves the way God wants us to, and to keep our bodies pure the way we want our mind, spirit and heart to be. But when we underestimate the value of our physical being, we lose a connection with God. The one unique, physical gift he has given to each individual person, is oftentimes treated like garbage.

Well, there are many ways we could talk about which have to do with caring for our bodies, but today we’re going to talk specifically about women who are using their bodies for paid sex. They have turned themselves over to prostitution. Why do women choose to use and abuse their bodies this way? How do we help them get off the streets and into livable situations? And how can we teach young girls to value themselves? We talk about all these issues on this episode of AAR. Special guests include Kelli Ojeda, Group Supervisor, at the Norman Sleezer Youth Home in Freeport and Evelyn Zarate, Spanish Pastor at Bridge Builders International Ministries.
