Music can be a powerful, moving and spiritual art form. Through music and song, we can express our emotions and ideas and reach out to other souls. We can share disappointments and sorrows as well as joy, happiness and gratitude. Music is a wonderful immediate way to reach others. We can all think of music that has touched us deeply, maybe even changed our lives… If a musician or singer can make a positive impression on someone through song, why would that person want to perform anything negative? Especially when music can reach young people—like those growing up on the streets—and make a difference in their lives?

What do you think about rap music? A lot of people especially kids and young adults love it, but there are many rappers who are influencing their audience negatively. They have shirked their responsibility of guiding our youth in good ways. However, there are some local rappers in town with a message you just can’t pass up.
