Wonders of Rockford
When you first think of Rockford, what comes to mind? Is it open spaces,
parks, room to breathe, the sound of nature or outdoor activities for the
family?
If you’re like most area residents, this is probably not your first answer.
However, if it's not your second, third or fourth answer, there is a good chance
that you're missing out on all of the wonderful activities and attractions
of this community. For instance, the park system. From almost anywhere in Rockford,
you can drive 5-10 minutes to find a place of beauty & tranquility, and
have the opportunity to breathe, reflect, meditate and appreciate God’s
creation. These same places also offer excellent opportunities to get some
exercise and sunshine. On this episode of AAR, we meet some people from Klehm
Arboretum, Midway Village & Museum Center and the Rockford Park District
who share some of the well kept and under-used places of this community.
